Caladan Pal connects to your own model accounts: you bring your own API key and pay your chosen provider directly at its rates. Whether and how much you spend depends on the models and usage you choose.
Keys stay on your computer and are encrypted through your operating system’s secure storage using Electron safeStorage. They are never uploaded to us, though you should protect your computer and revoke any key you believe has been exposed.
Caladan Pal supports Windows 10 or later and macOS 11 or later.
Supported providers include DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi/Moonshot, Zhipu GLM, Doubao/Volcano Engine Ark, SiliconFlow, OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude.
The currently supported providers require internet access because messages are sent directly from your computer to their APIs; checking and downloading updates also requires a connection. The current provider list does not include fully offline local models.
